Casco – Office for Art, Design and Theory is an open and public space for artistic research and experiments, founded in Utrecht in 1990. Its work traverses design, theory, and the wider social sphere. Casco’s activities encompass not only exhibitions, but also research, production, applications, workshops, forums, debates, actions, performances, screenings, education, and publishing.
Das Spectrum is a artists’ initiative housing a collective of sixteen artists, situated in the Utrecht neighborhood of Overvecht. Events and exhibitions take place regularly in Das Spectrum. Since 2015, the guest residency program, which invites (young) artists to work at work there for a short period of time, is at the basis of its public program.
